As we enter into another academic year we have every reason to thank God Almighty for the innumerable blessings and protection that we receive from Him year after year. We all know that schooling is our first contact with the world, a period of joy, healthy competition,sharing and love. It is not the wide open spaces, class rooms, the library, laboratories or the large fields that make the school. It is in the heart of the students and staff that the true institution exists.
Learning has no limitations. It is indeed a life long process. Here in St.Lucy’s we focus on total formation of a child by helping them to develop their total personality, giving them ample opportunities to bring out their God given gifts and talents in its fullness through value based education and healthy competitions. As the school motto stands “Let Your Light Shine” we prepare our students to shine out in the society they live with total dedication and commitment.
Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey our founder was an innovator in the field of education of her times. She said “Love the children, bring them up well.They are our future”. Keeping in mind this thought of our founder we, at St.Lucy’s nurture in students convictions about the sacredness of life, to discover its deeper meaning , to think freely and find fulfillment in every endeavour.
Dear students, always remember to inculcate right values in yourself and live by them. Be honest and commited to truthfulness in thought, word and deed. Learn to be compassionate and kind, always willing to help someone in need. Remember what you are is God’s gift to you and what you become is your gift to God.
